You'd be forgiven in thinking that this post is sponsored by George at Asda (or any of my children's outfits, actually) but no, I wish. I just really love their children's range and think there's some lovely practical and pretty pieces for reasonable prices and tend to buy a lot from there. Since Layla's now five we shop together and I let her pick out her own pieces because I feel she's so restricted in school uniform all week it's nice for her to be able to play about with fashion when she's not in school. I found it quite strange when her outfits started to mirror my own style but really it's not strange at all as at the moment I'm her main style inspiration.
We headed to see my great-grandma who has moved out from my Bampi's and is now living in a residential home. She's ninety five now and after six years of my Bampi single handedly looking after (eight years in total of her living with him - her son in law) something had to give. She moved in last Saturday so after settling in we all piled in a taxi and visited. A spritz of Chanel No5 and lots of cuddles later we headed into town to spend the vouchers I won for coming second place in the My Wedding Scrapbook competition I posted about a few weeks ago. I opted to buy little bits for the home including heart shaped slate plates and coasters, hanging baskets to go over the front door, a painting print for the office, stationary and little bits and pieces to add character in there. I found the most beautiful rug but at £75 that really will have to wait.
Anyway, back to the outfit. A mid-blue denim shirt with lighter blue heart print with an oversized blue jumper, black skinny jeans and riding boots was on the agenda and I actually went out in something rather similar myself without realising. Like mother like daughter, eh?
She is a fashion blogger in the making!
