Little Luxuries

Some people have meals out, beauty treats or regular blow drys. I have fresh flowers. It's a completely unjustified luxury as they do nothing but make me slightly happier and brighten up what can otherwise be a dull room but every week I try to treat myself to a £5 bunch from my local florist who creates the most beautiful arrangements that fit perfectly in my rectangular vase every time.

I'm quite happy with silk artificial flowers but there's something about fresh flowers that lifts my mood and I keep them in the centre of the huge table in the living room where we all spend most of our time. If I am ever rich I would insist on a weekly delivery of fresh flowers for the main rooms in the house in seasonal bunches. Completely unnecessary, of course but pretty? Very.

  1. I adore fresh flowers, I love springtime as it's Peony season and they are my absolute favourite flowers. I like to buy flowers from M&S every now and then, but I rarely have enough spare cash to indulge! xx

  2. Oh i'd love to have more fresh flowers in my apartment, unfortunately they make my husband sneeze although he'll give in and buy me a bunch every now and again and he'll sneeze throughout their bloom. So silk flowers for me it is!

  3. Fresh flowers are so beautiful - unfortunately my boyfriend thinks they are a waste of money, so I have to content myself with flowers in the garden instead. They're just as pretty, but slightly less luxurious I think!
