The Beauty Crush - Favourites

I haven't featured any beauty items here in a while and that's mainly because I haven't tried anything that has really blown me away and that I must talk about combined with the fact that my products are ones I've owned for a while or re-purchased that are used on rotation and that work for me. Someone asked me to put up a little favourites though and who am I to say no? I used to be big into reviews reviewing everything I could get my hands on and while I try to be a little more diverse now, the beauty girl inside me is just waiting to claw her way out right now.

I've recently rekindled my love for the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry. I loathe and detest the packaging but the product tastes and smells like the old lip balms of my youth that I used to collect and use obsessively and I can't help but to love it. It's definitely not going to win any awards for colour, lasting power or moisturising properties but to slick on as a tint of colour and shine while feeling somewhat decent on the lips it's something I've been reaching for a lot this past month.

For foundation, I'm sticking to MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NW13. NW13 is the perfect colour for my skin tone so I'm a little upset it's not more widely available but this foundation is pretty decent giving quite a full coverage and long wear. I usually use Estee Lauder Double Wear but I've run out and can't afford to repurchase quite yet so I'm using up this before I shell out on more.

The Next Cashmere perfume is lovely and while it doesn't smell very expensive and is quite powdery it's a cheap dupe for something that could vaguely resemble Chanel, is long-wearing as an EDP and very cheap at less than £7. When I want something for every day wear that's not too overpowering it's this I'm reaching for and if you're a fan of slightly musky scents give it a shot.

For lipstick it's been all about Sleek's Russian Red. The. Perfect. Red. Matte.

I've really had a bit of a resignation in my Soap & Glory love affair recently. The Breakfast Scrub will always be my favourite scrub but Sugar Scrub made me fall in love with its delicious lime, ground brown sugar and slightly ginger-y scent. It's less abrasive and slightly greasier than it's more popular sister but is so good for a pick me up in the mornings. Love, love, love.

What have you been crushing on recently?
