Fat People Can't... Wear Bodycon

Fat people can't wear body con? Watch me.

This is a beautiful dress with striped mesh neckline and long sleeves from none other than my beloved ASOS Curve. It's a size 22 and I am between a size 20-22 depending on the cut and style of the clothes I'm buying and the retailer. I have no shape wear on here because I wanted to show my real body but I usually do wear shape wear with this for a little more confidence.

This is going to be a series of things related around what I've been told and heard from others that 'Fat people can't/shouldn't do'. I say fat people can do everything anyone else does and pull it off with confidence whether that's exercising in public, wearing the trends, eating in public, not eating healthily, not being loved and so on. Fuck that. So yes, you can wear it and how you choose to is completely up to you. This dress looks amazing on me with shape wear to make the most of what I have and while granted it won't be to everyone's taste, try a bodycon dress on even if you have to be alone in the changing room and never buy it. You may love it but you will work it.

  2. I so admire your confidence! I'm the same dress size as you but I know I'd just cringe with embarrassment wearing that it public. I couldn't get over the mentality of "I should wear more flattering things." xo

  3. I think you look amazing doll, super gorgeous!! I think one should wear whatever they want to...those rules people make up are stupid. And more people need to love and take care of their bodies. Healthy should be the thing people worry about, not whether their skinny or big...because neither mean your completely healthy & that should be the focus, not size!! You look wonderful xx

  6. Go you! I cannot WAIT to see the rest of your posts for the series. This post is a thousand times better than a bitter diatribe about body shaming - it shuts all that down just by the act of your living your life however you want, no matter what people say.
