Soap & Glory's Brow Archery Review

I'm forever looking for that perfect product that will turn my brows from almost nothing and most definitely sparse to something well defined that frames my eyes and makes me look alive. I use powders, waxes, pencils and so on but none of them blow me away and I just continue to use them because of the fact they work (and that's the most important thing, right?) There's been buzz on this via the blogs I read for quite a long time but I thought £10 for a drug store brow product was a little on the pricey side so backed off but I couldn't resist any longer and in my Boots basket it went.

On one capped end there's a mechanical kohl pencil that's almost a little waxy in texture. For me it's pretty difficult to work with but with a little playing around it definitely can work. I'm not sure about the shade for my brows on its own but combined with the other side, it's pretty good. The felt tip side is where the magic happens. I would honestly pay £10 for one of these babies on its own. The nib is precise enough to be able to draw in individual hairs and it's dark enough to make precise lines from everything you filled in with the pencil side. If you see the photos below it is quite dark and too much can definitely be too much but the more I play around with it the more I find just drawing in the hairs and neatening the edges gives a much less Sharpie-like edge.

Bare, sparse brows

Filled in with pencilDefined with the felt tipHeavy handedly applied but finished

I'm growing my eyebrows out right now and they're in dire need of a tidy up but that's just where my face is at right now. Plus I was in this make up for fourteen hours so my eyeshadow held up pretty well, really. I did apply the brows a bit cack handedly and went a bit too heavily but you live and you learn. However you can see how dark the product is and how easy it is to use here so that's pretty good. Basically, how do you do beauty blogging?

  1. I really like this. I never defined my brows until I was testing out new makeup for my son's christening last year and the girl at the Benefit counter suggested it. I bought BrowZings that day and I've been using that pretty much ever since. I think I'll have to make a cheeky Boots purchase to try this out though, I'm forever terrified of losing more expensive makeup when I'm out and about!

  2. I've been dying to see how good this product is! I'm exactly the same as you and always hover around it before deciding that I really don't need to buy it quite yet, but after reading your post I may well need to add it to my basket!

  3. I use the MUA Brow kit at the moment, with my own brush, and it's actually pretty good but this just looks so much better!! I am a bit scared of using essentially a pen on my brows but it looks great, I think I might have to give this a try!! Xx

  7. This is such a unusual brow product, it looks good but it's quite a heavy application which I would only wear on nights out. Great review.
