Getting Well

Since Thursday I've been the most ill I have been in at least two years. It started with cold symptoms and just became heavier and heavier until I basically couldn't function and walking was more than laborious and became quite dangerous. In these past few days with deadlines looming over my head and an ever-expanding inbox I've been propped up by stacks of cushions, dosed up on everything I have and not being able to do anything as simple as sit at my desk and reply to emails let alone take photographs, blog, write or design. My laptop charger has completely blown and I can't get another until next week which has left me with my phone and iPad for nothing more strenuous than a quick tweet, Instagram or pin session before I have to look away and take a little nap. I've been all about the naps (not that they've felt like they've helped much).

I'm on the mend. I'm about 80% sorted and I can focus and walk today which is all I really need. I'm still in pain, coughing, have all the cold symptoms and a fever but when you feel so much better than the day before it feels like a miracle. I drank a smoothie outside this morning, put in a load of washing to get rid of all the germ ridden towels and bed sheets, swept the floor, ate a bowl of apple and grapes (the first thing bar soup yesterday since Thursday) and managed to write this - I'd call that a success.

So I guess this is just a little update to say that if you're waiting to hear back from me, expect it to be tomorrow. I'd say today but I don't want to give false hope. If you're waiting on designs or responses, they'll be over ASAP, promise. Life just took a funny turn full of germs and down time but it's back in the saddle and time to get on the mend.
