I've seen lots of Thankful Thursday posts and while I'm not one for appreciating the little joys solidly on one day I thought this Wednesday a little alliteration was on the cards with a Wonderful Wednesday. I'm loving so much this week from the bright sunny days to nights in watching endless amounts of episodes of my favourite TV shows right up to the bargains I picked up in my local charity shop (see: the lipstick and nail varnish printed sheer shirt for a mere £2). I've loved pulled pork and halloumi burgers this week with mango juice and forty five minute afternoon naps spooning with Amelia plus caramel syrup in coffee? Such a lovely afternoon pick-me-up when I'm a bit sick of fruit juices but want something sweet. Daffodils have been brightening up my days and really make the house feel like Spring while I work and watch said episodes of TV shows and I've been wearing knits around the house so as not to turn the heating on and to keep the back door open that tiny bit longer.
I've bought a bunch of magazines this week to see me through late night bath time reading which is one of my favourite things to do when I can't sleep (with the help of a Lush bath bomb too, of course). I've really got into Grazia recently because after you get past the celebrity section which I'm not a fan of there are actually decently written and informative articles. Not bad for £2 without pages and pages of ads. Speaking of ads and fads there's Elle which I love again for the content (once you get past the very many pages of ads) but I can't help but to buy it regardless and always end up cutting up the ads for scrapbook pages with the girls on the weekends. They love looking at the make up and outfits so we cut and stick our favourites in their fashion book where Layla also draws her own triangular dress designs.
The guinea pigs have been chatting to each other a lot especially when on my lap and I managed to grab this rather blurry shot through the bars just after they nuzzled each other. I keep missing those adorable moments but one day I will grab a few on camera and post them all here so everyone can marvel at how adorable they are. Unless you don't like guinea pigs in which you can probably skip that post. No hard feelings, eh?
I've picked up a few transitional pieces for the girls this past week including pink floral DM style boots which Layla wants to show off in an outfit post soon but what really grabs me are lovely details. This knitted cardigan has a scalloped lace trim, gold shimmery thread running through and bows on the pockets which makes it perfect for pretty much every occasion. It's from Asda and I think you all will know by now how much I love their clothes for children and adults - definitely my favourite supermarket for clothes. Accessories - eh, they're working on it.
Lovely post. Your photography is great.
