This week has been a little bit of a dull one as I've had a flare up and couldn't move for most of it so it was spent behind my laptop working from the sofa in My Little Pony pyjama leggings coupled with slightly stained pink bunny slippers and an Anchorman jumper. It was boyfriend's 28th birthday on Friday so we ate cake and he went out shopping for himself for the first time in forever and came home with not just games but real non-character adorned clothing which is a massive step forward for the perpetual funny man. He hates to celebrate his birthday so we didn't do anything special but we did have a Chinese in the evening and watched Lee Daniels' The Butler which really wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.
My world map watch arrived quicker than I expected considering it's from an eBay seller in China and I love that it's such a variation from my usual chunky rose gold accessory. My hair has not impressed me as much as it's been stuck at this length now for at least a year with dead ends but I'm scared to have them chopped off as I don't think my face can handle shorter hair. I've not dyed it in over a year now too and I used heat on it for the first time in months the other day to stop it from being so frizzy with the curls which I know if I go shorter I'll have to do more regularly. I make do with extensions and wigs but sometimes I just want to have nice natural hair to swish about. I'm still waiting.
However the weather has been beautiful and bright and I've been taking my coffee, lunch and phone outdoors more to enjoy some fresh air. The first colour is coming into the bushes and the girls have spent lots of time practising their skipping and scooting which is lovely. The 'nice' park (with the decent play area) is a twenty minute walk away for little legs and bus fare despite the distance for all of us works out at almost £7 which is ridiculous so unless we're all feeling 100% we make do with what we have very locally. Luckily we have a decently sized fully enclosed garden that everyone is safe to play in now we've re-laid the patio to make it less dangerous.
Ooh I love the watch. Hope you're feeling better soon! I've been busy with Uni work and busy avoiding Uni work... xx
ReplyDeleteYour slippers are too cute! I haven't been up to too much this week as I too have been confined to restricted movement due to a labyrinthitis flare up. It's finally getting better now, but had me out of action (i.e. work..) for 2 weeks which sucks. Loving the look of your Anchorman jumper, and those slippers are adorable :)
ReplyDeleteI love your slippers! I have had a "bog standard" week, just working and relaxing over the weekend. Really enjoying the warmer weather though so taking full advantage of that! x
ReplyDeleteUr photos are amazing.. and the watch - I cannot even describe how much I loved it!
