A Wonderful Shopping Spree

I've been through a bit of a rough week and have spent most of it either lazing around in a tear stained stupor, in pain or working all through the night on blog designs and blog/social media strategies so when this fresh day rolled around my best friend and I headed out for a cheeky Starbucks to catch up and ended up spending a lot more of my savings than I initially intended to. Sometimes a girl just needs a blow out and while this doesn't account for the things I've bought online too that will no doubt be featured here within the week it's a decent sized haul to show you all what I've been purchasing.

I've been slightly obsessed with the limited edition Easter candle from Yankee Bunny Cake but after two weeks of almost constant burning it's now only a day away from complete obliteration. I popped into Clinton's first to see if they had a replacement and since they were all out I gave the other limited edition sweet scented jar a sniff and fell in love with White Chocolate Bunnies which smells of vanilla and white chocolate. It's not as sweet as say Vanilla Frosting but it's such a pleasant sweet and uplifting smell that I just couldn't leave it there. It's a big purchase and quite expensive for a large jar but it pays for itself with how much joy I get from lighting these candles.

In Primark I spotted this cream and pale pink quilted wash bag for £4 and couldn't resist. I am always in need of storage for beauty products and I don't have an area to store it all out in acrylic storage so these pretty bags and vanity cases help keep me organised. I'll probably use this as a large make up bag for long days so needless to say it'll get a lot of use and probably very dirty very quickly. The Soap and Glory Flake Away was a purchase that I needed a I'd run out of both The Breakfast Scrub and Sugar Crush. While I love both I find their scents a little too much most days especially when I just want to smell clean and not sickeningly sweet so it seemed the perfect pairing with Clean On Me. I've not tried Flake Away before so if you have, let me know your thoughts! Plus, in a 3 for 2 bargain (my best friend bought Clean On Me too) who can resist?

We initially popped into The Body Shop for the Vitamin E oil and I found that they hadn't completely discounted my favourite Vanilla EDT but had simply repackaged it and brought it out a little later than their other range! I'm so in love with it and I am so, so happy it's back in my life. I love the Coconut body mist too and like to layer them both on warmer days which just transports me immediately in my head to a white sandy beach with crystal clear waters. I have to imagine this because I've never had the opportunity to visit one (yet) but the vision is enough to carry me through our mild days and warm(isn) summers. The Absinthe hand cream was a bit of an impulse buy as I got 10% off and it was already 50% off making this baby just £4.50 and it just smells divine. It's not to everyones taste but if you like earthy, natural scents this is one for you and it absorbs really quickly without being greasy which I'm really appreciative of as someone always on their phone.

Finally, two little treats. Being obsessed with The Sims it's only natural I grabbed the Into The Future expansion pack to see me through sleepless nights and the noughts and crosses chocolates were a thoughtful gift from my best friend. I have a feeling these two just go hand in hand.

What do you think? Will you be buying anything here?

  9. I am obsessed with Soap and Glory! The only problem is that even though some of their products CAN be found in certain stores in the US (like Sephora), they're really hard to find!!! Have you tried the Sugar Crush Shower Gel? Smells like lime/apple heaven <3
