A Casual Night Out

I don't know about you but sometimes on a night out I prefer to look a little more casual and comfortable than doll myself up in swathes of tight fitting fabric to suck me in and killer heels which by the end of the night live up to their name. I'm not out to meet someone special and I'm at the age now where I've become a little more comfortable with my personal style and adding in a few fashion forward pieces rather than emulating the look head to toe which often ends badly.

I love this casual yet stylish look. The dress on has a little illusion going on at the waist and hits mid-thigh so perfect for pairing with black tights or above the knee socks and flat shoes. With a big necklace, long tousled hair and a bowler hat it's smart enough to look like you've made an effort without going extremely glam. I just adore this cat bag and I need to find one similar and available in the UK easily. I'm not mad about cats in general life as I love my dogs more but I seem to go a little gooey over cat accessories.

For make up it's the trusty Estee Lauder Double Wear base which won't move all night, heavy black gel liner on top of a nude eye, a deep cherry flush on the cheeks, lots of lashes and a matte berry stain on the lips. For some this may be quite out there but it's a daily look for me so I think it works really well with the paired down look to appear slightly more done up.
