In the cold weather my skin becomes more dehydrated and flaky thanks to the chilly temperatures outside battling with the indoor central heating and it really strips every bit of moisture I have. For someone who religiously applies moisturiser over cleansed skin just to keep it looking some form of balanced this can be a problem as I find the products I use the other nine months out of the year just don't cut it when the temperatures drop further. I do love my expensive skin products and they definitely do work for me and are therefore worth the money but as of yet I've not found an expensive moisturiser that works for me as well in the winter as these little beauties from supermarket saviour, Nivea.
♥ The line is formulated for dry and sensitive skin and while my skin isn't particularly sensitive I have it on good authority that it treats those with sensitive skin just as well. The day moisturiser is lovely - thick but not so thick that putting make up on afterward is an issue. Nourishing but it doesn't feel sticky afterward and with an inoffensive scent so it really ticks all my boxes.
♥ The night cream is a real wonder. Thick like whipped cream it feels utterly amazing going on quite chilled against your skin in the night relieving puffiness and really sinking in slowly so it feels rather luxurious. If I remember rightly I bought both for £10 in Tesco but don't hold me to that.
♥ For eye cream it has to be Benefit It's Potent. This tiny little pot has lasted me a good two months and I'm hoping Santa may sneak a full size pot into my stocking this Christmas. It's not a magic cream but it does make my eye area less puffy and feel more plumped and supple which is a great thing in my book and definitely worth repurchasing.
♥ I'm quite new to serum but from everything I've read it's best to go for the best quality you can so when I was landed with three little testers of the Estee Lauder Night Repair serum I thought I'd give it a go. I'm hooked. I don't know if it's the placebo effect of an expensive luxurious serum against my skin or whether it really is wondrous but it really does seem to work for me and it's something I'm saving up for to buy a full size. One of these little bottles has lasted me two months using it once a day and I have one more on stand by. My skin is definitely ageing and I think now is a great time to start to find something that works for me so I'm not grappling in my thirties wasting money in a matter of months looking for that perfect age defying tonic.
♥ And we can't forget hands, can we? We all know the feeling of dry, tight hands and it's not pleasant so I carry this little tube of Soap & Glory's Hand Food which is light, non-sticky, moisturising and has the sweetest candy marshmallow scent that makes me feel happy every time I apply it. If you're not the hand cream sort, pick this up and you'll be converted. You're welcome.
i recently discovered hand food and i LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteI actually hated Hand Food. It left an oily texture on my skin which I hate! I'm yet to find a fast absorbing hand cream! xxx

I'm a big fan of serums too! I wasn't too sure at first, but once you've found one that works, it can be addictive to use! It's an absolute perfect product to use for cold weather x
