Rewinding The Week

Since I hadn't posted much last week I thought I'd do a little post catching you all up with what's been happening. First f all, this week has been tiring. I've been pulling all nighters left right and centre to finish work and projects and while I can say my Christmas shopping is done and now I have a budget and spreadsheet for each week until January, the deadline for Blogspiration has come and gone and has now been moved to 1st January 2014. Let's open 2014 with a bang for bloggers, shall we?

So this week I was recovering from my trip to Nottingham to see my best friend, I saw Thor 2 with my other best friend and her husband with a massive pumpkin spice latte and too many nachos, I celebrated Halloween with my family, I decorated my living room and I hosted two drinks and dinner parties with friends on top of work, commission pieces, housework, parenting, vet trips and lots of dog walking while the rain wasn't too bad to head down to the local park since I no longer own wellies (thanks, Dexter). I spent too much money online shopping for Christmas and home and yet I am far too impatient for the dribs and drabs of things through the post to reach me, I had a deep tissue massage in the massage parlour next door which is the best I have ever had and now? Now I need sleep. Now I need a big glass of wine at 7pm and to be in bed by 10pm where I am still whirring with lists and duties. Sometimes it gets too much. This is sometime.

This week I plan to relax more. I plan to not worry if the office turns into a second wardrobe or if I can't afford a coffee out because these things don't matter. Rest, time with my family where I'm not frazzled, long walks with the dogs to benefit us all, cutting out anything with aspartame, organising the meaningful things in life such as what to do on Bonfire Night and checking out the advice for the best firework displays - that's all important to me right now. But hey, my pug has a bow tie.
