Halloween is a holiday I traditionally get excited about at the beginning of October and by the end I am fully over. I have the best intentions to make costumes rather than buy them, throw a party, go trick or treating, make the best food courtesy of hours spent browsing Pinterest and carving the best pumpkins courtesy of my boyfriend but it rarely ever happens. Instead we stay at home as it's usually raining, watching children's scary films such as Hocus Pocus and the latest offerings from Pixar and admire our pumpkins. Well, it's now November and I still have two uncarved munchkin pumpkins in the kitchen and the other two have been loved and are now rather dead. We tried in our best fashion to enjoy the holiday - we dressed the girls up as Disney princesses as they didn't want to be scary (Rapunzel and Belle), I applied last minute face paint to be Elpheba from Wicked and we drove down to my sister's house where she threw a little party, danced to One Direction and partook in a little trick or treating.
The girls came back stuffed with finger food and way too many sweets, I was exhausted from not having any sleep and boyfriend was a little less dead inside with all the undead festivities. We firmly intended on having an early night after devouring the KFC we picked up on the way home but instead we decided to overhaul the living room (post coming soon), stay up all night and the next night after two hours of sleep a piece? Entertain friends. With alcohol. Until 4am. So please excuse the lack of posts last week as we were all too tired to do much of anything and while we've just about recovered those hours of lost sleep by napping and taking shifts with the girls we are very much still the living dead.
Your pumpkins are immense!
