Christmas With House Of Fraser

On Thursday I was invited to House Of Fraser in Cabot Circus, Bristol to take a look at their Christmas offerings. As soon as I entered I felt festive after the showcase of oversized bulbs inside Cabot Circus and as I travelled up the escalators to the top floor curtains of light filtered down illuminating everything around. The event itself was held in Zest which is located on the top floor of House of Fraser and is absolutely gorgeous with it's gold and cream flocked wallpaper and cream leather sofas. The restaurant was particularly exciting that evening with Christmas trees lining the walls, decorations atop each surface and over near the windows looking out on the darkened city were three lovely ladies with Nails Inc, Molten Brown and Yves Saint Laurent offerings.

After a few glasses of warm mulled wine and some beautiful salmon canapés I wandered over to the beauty counters and had my nails coated in red glitter courtesy of Nails Inc, a hand and arm massage courtesy of Molten Brown and a lovely chat with the make up artist from YSL about their devastatingly beautiful new A/W lipsticks. I want them all and I want them now. From there we were taken on a tour of House of Fraser's built in salon and spa which I didn't get many photographs of but which is beautiful. It really needs to be seen in person and if possible, experienced but it just felt so thoroughly relaxing as soon as you entered the treatment hallway. Dark and illuminated with tea lights in stained glass wall lanterns leading through to warm, deliciously scented treatment rooms using all Aveda products. Truly something I can't wait to experience myself.

The Christmas collections themselves are simply stunning. There are themes from fun Scandanavian inspired bright reds in felts and quirky designs to opulent black and gold art deco inspired pieces on to rose gold jewellery inspired ornaments with tiaras and shoes twinkling against white trees being such a surprise stunner for me (I usually dislike white trees). The wooden door advent calendar is a firm favourite that can be reused year after year and the clothes? Let's just say if I had my credit card and were two sizes smaller I'd have come home with a lot more than a press pack.

Do you love the House Of Fraser offerings this festive season? What are your favourite pieces?
