I posted about Birmingham yesterday and these are the fruits of that labour. Since we didn't have a lot of time before heading home we only ended up with time enough for a few stores so I'm really looking forward to going back one day early in the morning with flat shoes where it's less busy and less painful to take more of a look around the offerings.
So what did I buy? I bought quite a bit for a very good price as you can see. The leather look collared navy knitted dress is from Primark and a steal at £12 as is the Ryan Gosling t-shirt (who doesn't want him adorning their breasts?), the fox phone case to stop my screen being damaged inside my bag and the tights. The necklace was an eBay purchase and wasn't from Birmingham but I did wear it there and will be wearing it with this dress so I thought I'd include it. Forever 21 provided these adorable dainty necklaces and while silver is not usually my colour I couldn't resist the tiny elephant and heart pendants. The bunny laptop case from Paperchase was down to £3.95 due to a few minor marks which was the perfect steal in Selfridges and it fits nicely inside my new bag from Select which is similar in style to the Zara Office City bag which I still don't have my hands on but comes in at £38 cheaper!
Make-up wise I treated myself to a deep green Barry M nail varnish, a rose pink lipliner, two nude-ish lipsticks by Rimmel, a deep purple by Sleek and also their rose gold blush which was a little silly as I also picked up NARS Orgasm and a few other high end goodies that day that aren't photographed as I want to save them for a review soon. Selfridges wasn't as fantastic for make-up as I was expecting so next time I'll definitely venture to the MAC standalone store and Debenhams for more of my favourites.
Love the Ryan Gosling t-shirt & phone case!

ReplyDeleteNawww that laptop case is so cute! It'll cheer you up when you have boring work to do :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Brum is a pretty decent shopping destination as it has all the mainstream chains, you have to look a bit off the main streets for other bits n bobs, but it's a good fun place to go.

The Lobster & Me
Absolutely loath Birmingham for shopping! I prefer Manchester over all the cities I've been to. Lot's of independent shops and nice places to explore :)
ReplyDeleteHell yes! Birmingham is ace. I am biased I understand that but we do have everything! So glad you loved it!

ReplyDeleteI have the jumper from Primark I'm praying it doesn't get misshapen in the wash before I've got my use out of it!
