Since I spend a lot of my life on my phone I thought I'd write a post about it. I use it for keeping track of what I have to do and where I have to be, general lists, wish lists, lists for blog posts and videos, notes while I'm out, photo taking (I'm an Instagram hooligan and bombard that platform often with a lot more selfies than I should), inspiration hunting, tips, numbers, keeping up to date with friends, music, YouTube and blogs. Sometimes my laptop is just not practical to carry around so you'll usually find me with my nose in my phone if I'm unoccupied for more than five seconds.
So today I thought I'd share my favourite apps from the ones that make my life more fun to the ones who make it easier. I have an iPhone 5S and before that the iPhone 4S so all of the apps I use day to day are available in the App store and most are also available on Android.
Twitter
I'm a huge Twitter addict. I got it the day the London riots started as people were discussing it on Twitter and I was a complete failure at it. I had no idea what it did, how to navigate it etc and now I'm there and have had some of the funniest conversations of my life there (Eurovision 2013, anyone?). It's crazy to think I have 1500+ followers now and interact with people daily that I'd have never met without Twitter and blogging.
Facebook
I'm not going to lie, I use it and as much as I hate it I can't help myself going back. This is where I find most of my 'real life' friends and catch up with them because I am so social.
Tumblr
I've been on Tumblr for three years now and firmly into 10,000 posts I am reblogging strong. Fandoms, meme's, little videos - it has definitely improved my humour and also my creativity as often I'll reblog something that will give me an idea for a story or a photo in my own life. It's a bit of a maze but follow the white rabbit down the rabbit hole and you'll not look back.
Pinterest
Much the same as Tumblr with recycled images and jokes but the fashion, food, crafts and interiors are 1000% better. I tend to have a week's break from Pinterest before going completely mad and deciding that I want to redecorate the entire house and get married right this second.
We Heart It
A big source for images for bloggers and inspiration for everything from phone wallpapers to photos to print and stick onto random surfaces in my home - I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the app but the photos are incredible once you find the gems.
Whats App
I love Whats App. Free texting from Windows to Android to iPhone with free messaging (as long as you're connected to wi-fi or 3/4G). Free for the first year and a matter of pence afterwards. Fantastic.
LookBook
So you know of LookBook, right? Well those latest hypes on one mobile friendly platform to give you extra outfit inspiration when you're standing on in front of your floordrobe wardrobe would come in handy, right? It does for me even if it's as simple as an overall outfit theme or colour scheme.
Moldiv
A free collage app that makes everything the perfect size for Instagram in a variety of layouts so you can cram more photos into one. A definite favourite.
8Tracks
A free app that allows you to search for playlists by keywords and listen to (or create your own) playlists of songs. Sadly there's no option to re-listen to the same track again or skip more than three times but something I love when I'm in the mood for discovering new music.
BlogLovin'
The app's not amazing but it keeps me up to date with my favourite blogs whether I'm at home or on a train. Perfect way to while away an afternoon.
Netflix
If you've got a Netflix subscription I definitely recommend getting the app too. It can be a pain on smaller screens but when you're in bed and have it propped up with headphones in it definitely passes a sleepless night without having to stop being cosy.
Evernote
Evernote, my baby. Generally just a better list making app than Notes or it's Android equivalents.
eBay
Because who doesn't love shopping on the go?
A Beautiful Mess
Created my Elsie and Emma from abeautifulmess.com, one of the best blogs on the internet, this app allows you to customise photos with text, doodles, filters and borders. Gorgeous.
Do you have any app recommendations? I'm not into games too much since that one time I got addicted to Angry Gran and broke the screen on my old phone so any productivity-related app suggestions would be fantastic. Don't say Blogger. The Blogger app hates me and I hate it too.
These are great! Instagram is also really great! :D
