Monochrome

I find myself torn this week between the masculine and the feminine - the trouser and the skirt but one thing I am firmly in love with is monochrome. I love the fact that it can be masculine and feminine, work with every colour and every pattern and is appropriate for a multitude of occasions. A friend of mine tried on a very similar jumpsuit in New Look recently and I fell in love but sadly it was too short and I have the same issue so what I'd do with this jumpsuit is tailor the leg to make it a slim fit that can be worn cropped to the ankle with killer embellished shoes without looking ankle-flappery in a straight or boot cut. With a jacket and a clutch I'd need an occasion to wear this but I'm sure I could make one up (birthday?).

The outfit on the right is still monochrome but a little more feminine. With the dress and it's cut out petal detail on the neckline, the beautiful lust-list Michael Kors bag and bow adorned shoes it's the perfect outfit to go from office to evening for me. I'd add black opaque tights to make the shoes pop that little bit more and keep my legs warm against the elements which will surely have hit three times over by the time I can afford this bag but honestly, it's an ideal outfit for me.
