What I Wore || Interview Edition

Floral swing dress - £29.99 from Lindy Bop

It's been a while since I posted an outfit post but after I had lots of compliments on this dress I decided I had to show it. I'm sorry about the awkward angles but my camera is currently MIA so boyfriend helped out with my phone. I am in love with this dress. I decided it was a little more playful than a suit but still smart enough to pull off. I bought a plain black one a few months ago and it's exactly the same length and shape (sleeveless with a high rounded neck) but the material is a little more shiny which makes it a pain to attract creases and an even bigger pain to iron. Thankfully the material of this dress is a lot easier to work with and this was the result straight from the folded pack so I managed to get away with it with no iron which is a good thing as the dress arrived twenty minutes before I was due to leave!

I paired it with black suedette court shoes, a black bucket bag with rose gold hardware, a turqouise YSL-inspired ring, my rose gold watch and rose gold bracelets. The only thing I had on that wasn't in the same pink-toned family was the shoulder detail on the black cardigan. I don't like this cardigan much as I hate the frilled edges and waterfall shape (not in essence, just in practice with this piece as it's a bit too short to pull it off on my body shape) but I thought a blazer looked too formal with it and thought this looked best without resulting in throwing on a generic black cardigan. I have a hot pink short sleeves cardigan that also looks fantastic with this dress.

The pink version has already been ordered but I find the sizing runs small so if you want to be comfortable take a size up. When worn with a petticoat underneath it won't matter and as it comes with a skinny waist belt you can pull it in to create that coveted hourglass figure these kind of dresses are fantastic at providing. For the price you really can't go wrong and since I've bought from Lindy Bop before I know this will wash just as well and look just as fantastic six months down the line too. Plus, how adorable is the print?
