Sometimes when you're a little bit sad all you need is a little shopping spree to cheer you up. By you I mean me and yes, I do have a little bit of a problem. My best friend and I drove to Cardiff (and got lost because I zoned out at the exit - which also happened on the way home, oops!) as she had some vouchers to spend and I needed to hit Tiger for some art supplies and ended up with a lot more than I both bargained and budgeted for. Some things were necessary like the watercolours, brushes, watercolour paper, headphones and nail varnish remover. Most weren't. The flower shaped mixer? Totally needed that. The Barry M Sugared Apple mint green nail varnish? Needed it. New sailboat pyjamas (not pictured), pastel necklace and cardigan? They were on sale!
My most indulgent purchase came in the form of this Ollie & Nic bag. Walking past we noticed a closing down sale and stepped inside. Bad move. I spotted this coral and tan bag and it had to be mine. After leaving it in the shop for two hours before returning and snapping it up (with £15 off too - surely that's a bargain?) I thought I deserved it. I had worked so hard buying other things, you know! It's a bit more than I usually spend on coloured bags favouring to spend more money on classic blacks and tans that never go out of style but it's big enough for my DSLR, purse, make up bag and essentials so really it'll pay for itself.
Also in Tiger I picked up these bright wicker baskets for trinkets in my new office which is well underway, a stuffed miniature dachshund that reminded me of my very first dog who lived until he was fourteen and he's going to live in the window of my office near the plants on the windowsill. Who doesn't love little bits to make a room a little more interesting and personal? I'm hoping to get my house sorted in the next month or two and there'll be photos along the way so keep an eye out for those if you're interested.
sometimes you have to just treat yourself, the bag was a bargain :)

Lovely haul, and I totally relate to your shopping habits. I often see things and then leave them in the shop while I go other places, all the while wondering whether I should (or can afford to) go back and get it, before I finally cave and buy it!
ReplyDeleteI went in Boots yesterday for some dry shampoo and came out 20 quid lighter, so it's not just you. Hey, at least you're making lovely posts out of it! :)
