Pastels & Purchases - A Wishlist

Bag // Purse // Dress // Watch // Candle // Make up bag

I really do have the shopping bug lately. Usually I'm quite content just adding a few pieces here and there and concentrating on updating my make up and accessory collection but there's just something about the new season pieces that make me want to run around the high street buying everything in sight. Pastels and bright tones are everywhere and while I'm not sure I could pull them off as a complete outfit I'm going to add them in with accessories to make them a little more wearable for me.

The bag is divine, isn't it? Since I saw it on a blog (I can't remember which one - sorry!) I've fallen in love and now it's sold out so every day I'm refreshing the website just waiting for it to come back in. I find it a struggle to find nice bags I like, especially in lighter colours as I find most can look really cheap and the ones that don't just aren't in my style but this ticks all the boxes and it's a must-have! The purse is right up my street too. I usually hate the huge River Island branding they insist on putting on everything but this doesn't have that, has a photograph window inside, looks great and has a splash of colour to brighten up what's otherwise a plain and standard purse. With my Primark one currently falling apart I think this may be the one I opt for. The dress is something I've been torn over for about a week. It's £30 which is a lot for what it is but I remember owning one about five years ago in a lighter grey but the same shape and it went well with leggings, tights, bare legs, blazers, big jewellery, cardigans - basically, it's just a grey staple to layer over and can work for every season. I'm a big fan of grey with colour instead of black too and feel it works better in the warmer months as a basic colour.

If you know me you know I have this watch without the diamante detail in the face. It's seen me through over a year and I wear it daily but it's now looking really tarnished so while I'm still too broke to afford a Michael Kors I think an upgrade is in order. I love how big it is on my wrists as slimmer watches often just make my hands look huge and for £28 I can't complain that it's lasted me daily for over a year, really. The candle. Oh, the candle. I bought the Bunny Cake scent last week and I'm already burning through it at an alarming rate. I haven't had the chance to smell this but I've been assured it's gorgeous so if I'm going to be impulse buying anything it's going to be this. I always feel like I'm burning money when I spend on candles but they make my home feel so comforting and smell so great that it's an expense I always seem to justify. The make up bag is a much needed addition to my collection of things and I can't quite justify one of the beautiful patent Ted Baker wash bags just yet but I love the colour of this and the size. Perfect to pop into the H&M bag!

What are you loving?
