Maybelline Brow Drama

I have a real love/hate relationship with my eyebrows and until about a year ago I didn't even bother to fill them in and thought I was resigned to blonde, sparse eyebrows forever. People say to never pluck your eyebrows but I don't believe in that - just go to a professional and never overpluck your eyebrows or you'll end up with almost bare arches that make your face look a whole host of odd. In my quest to get natural looking brows that don't seem too Sharipe-esque but also look dark and defined I've tried a lot of products, some expensive and some not so but honestly? Nothing works better than the combination of the Maybelline Brow Drama and Urban Decay Brow Box for me.

I've seen a lot about the Brow Drama and a lot of people didn't like it but for the sake of £5 I picked one up in the 3 for 2 offer in Boots last week. It comes in a mascara like tube with a brush that scared me at first but is honestly perfect for eyebrows. I got the shade Dark Brown as I knew it wouldn't be as dark as I thought it would be (they never are) and it's perfect for me. I like dark eyebrows even with blonde hair so it wouldn't be a problem either way as long as they weren't jet black. If your brows are light and sparse this really helps to tint, define and place them into your desired shape. It doesn't wear off easily, it dries quickly and stays in place for a good 5-6 hours before I feel the need to brush them through again.

If your eyebrows are naturally dark or you like dramatic brows, this isn't for you. It's definitely not dramatic despite the name and you'd be better off saving your money and going for a clear mascara to set your brows if you want to but for someone like me who likes to see the defined hairs without them being stuck to my skin as I find is the case with some brow waxes and gels it's perfect and very budget friendly. I still fill in my arches a little but I don't bother with the inner brow at all with more than the gel.

Have you tried this? What do you think?

  1. I have the opposite problem, my eyebrows are naturally dark but never stay in place, never even thought of getting a clear mascara.
