New Year Skin

I have incredibly dry skin at the best of times and I drink at least two litres of water per day, moisturise religiously and protect it with SPF as much as possible to try to combat this. These past two or three months has seen my skin deteriorate massively to the point where it feels tight and dehydrated constantly rather than just between skincare routines so I decided to switch up my products a little more and make a few lifestyle changes to help.

I take off my make up with Bioderma in the evening and cleanse with the DHC cleansing oil with a muslin cloth afterward to remove all residue before going in with the infamous Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish with a hot muslin cloth, Alpha H's Liquid Gold every other day and in the intermittent days Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic and finish up with the L'Oreal Revitalift Firming Night Cream (and the day cream in the day which you can find here too).

So far it's really made a difference in plumping up my skin, evening out the dry patches to almost nothing and that tight feeling has gone but there's still work to be done. I'm thinking of changing to the Liz Earle moisturiser as I've heard such fantastic things and buying more of the REN peel to switch to once my bottle of Alpha H runs out. I use a variety of lip balms from the fabulous Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment for the evening as it's quite thick to good old Nivea to use beneath lipsticks and in the morning. It's a little difficult to work with for me and doesn't work brilliantly but it's enough to moisturise beneath lipsticks for all day wear.
