Well, needless to say after a little truffle making for gifts (up soon) I've been feeling a little more festive and usually to help that along I make a Christmas playlist which is generally Michael Buble's Christmas album on repeat. So today I thought I'd share a few of my festive songs with you that have been blasting from the speakers in the past day or two.
Walk Off The Earth are an incredible band that I've been a little more than obsessed with for a while and two of their members have created an acoustic version of Fairytale Of New York that boyfriend and I like to sing to each other while wrapping presents. Mindy Gledhill you may already know of thanks to a video recently posted by Tanya Burr which it worked beautifully with. I've included two songs of hers as I'm a big fan of putting these on in the evening when I'm starting to wind down. Michael Buble because Michael Buble. Country band Lady Antebellum put together a classic Christmas album with a slight country, folky twist which I adore and Let It Snow is one of my favourite mood uplifters. Olivia Olson? No relation to the Olsen sisters but she once did a little cover of an unknown song called All I Want For Christmas in a relatively unknown British film called Love, Actually. I'm kidding but I truly haven't heard more from her. Who can listen to this without imagining the scene in their head because I certainly can't?
To make it easier for you if you don't want to download everything I've put it in a little YouTube playlist below.
Love this! Christmas songs are the best :)
ReplyDeleteOlivia Olson has another Christmas song! It's called 'That Christmas Feeling' and I only found out about it a couple of days ago, but it's very uplifting.
