I haven't written one of these favourites posts in a while but recently I've wanted to get back into blogging in a big way with more photographs of my own, words of my own and generally to be a lot more interesting so I thought I'd show you a glimpse into my life and what I've been loving this week.
Nivea is a well known brand name in the skincare business but one I've never been a huge fan of. I picked these moisturisers up on a whim in Tesco and I haven't looked back. With dehydrated and flaky skin, the cold weather and the central heating that undoubtedly goes hand in hand with Autumn/Winter, my skin has been horrible but with the help of these babies twice a day it's really pepped up. Hair bows, specifically the oversized floral ones made for me by Erica and my friend Alex - Layla's hair is never complete without one in varying shades and textures. Lorde, a sixteen year old artist from New Zealand (I know, I know - you've probably all heard Royals a million times by now) and her album have been on repeat for two days after loving what I've heard so far so much and it is really good. Lily Collins is my latest girl crush from her perfect face to hair to style to decent acting ability and I'm not just saying that because I grew up with Phil Collins and you can often hear me belting 'Invisible Touch' in the shower. Ciderwithrosie.com is my latest favourite blog and it's not often I find a blog I am thoroughly addicted to; I am entirely infatuated with it. Pumpkin Spice lattes may not taste like pumpkin but are beautiful nonetheless, especially in a venti with an extra shot however I've been turned off Starbucks thanks to Ashleigh's post about them here so I'm off to try Costa's offering this weekend. Talk That Talk, a patchy as fuck deep purple retro matte from the Rihanna fall collection for MAC may not be perfect but it is a firm staple and something I've been loving even if it works against me and makes it ten times harder to apply.
From blogs I've been loving The Huffington Post's 10 top tips for using a penis beaker (as a Mumsnet regular I can assure you that's not even the worst funniest of it), Becky's 48 hour bedroom makeover for her mum and Georgina and Laura's #bbloggers Secret Santa.
How amazing is Lorde? In typical Aussie fashion, we all like to pretend she is one of us ;)
