Seychelles candle RRP £10* and Winter candle £20 both from The White Company
So at The White Company launch last week I ended up making a little purchase that turned out to be one of the most wonderful things - the Winter candle. Coming in at £20 it was an expensive purchase, especially for a candle and a candle of its size but I was instantly in love with the scent after being drawn in by the look and description on the website a few days prior. The website states "Our all time best seller, Winter is a spicy warm scent that blends notes of sweet cinnamon and clove with a dash of fresh orange. The inviting aroma of stepping inside" which is 100% true and I can see why it's their best seller. It is perfect.
Being a candle fiend I know what I do and don't like and this ticks all the 'do' boxes for me. I love spicy, deep scents all year round and while it's refreshing to mix it up a little I do tend to stick with more Autumn/Winter based notes to scent my home. I'qve never spent £20 on a small-for-the-price candle before but I will again. Over and over again.
As a free gift with purchase I received a sampler of the Seychelles candle RRP £10. The website describes it as having "notes of fresh bergamot, bright orange and rich amber with warming notes of coconut, vanilla and almond". Now I'm no expert in notes and half the time can only smell the most prominent but this candle is so beautiful I may have to buy a full size. It smells to me what Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess perfume would smell like in a candle with a little less coconut. It smells tropical but calming and inviting and is perfect in my bathroom while I'm soaking in a bubble bath filled to the brim with vanilla scented bubbles.
Do you know what else I love? Look at the clean burn!. I have never had a candle that has burned in such uniform and I haven't even trimmed the wick in these after three burns. I've burned them for 2-3 hours each three times and this is the usage so I feel even the small Seychelles candle will last a little while and with the scent, the beautiful classic look about them and the burn time I think they're definitely worth the price tag.
So, anyone want to buy me the three wick Winter or even the indulgence candle for my birthday? ;)
I love White Company candles. My fav is Pomegranate. Also love St Eval's Sea Salt x
