Rewinding The Week

I haven't posted in a few days and I feel terrible not writing, not just for content but also because I love to write and it's my main creative outlet but I'm back with a few fresh ideas after having a good few days of rest due to the norovirus. I'm back to work, back to being in a routine, I dug out my camera for some well overdue photos to use in the future and I'm back replying to e-mails and working on Blogspiration so in this post I thought I'd rewind the week and tell you what I've been up to.

On Friday evening my best friends and favourite married couple popped over for some get well drinks, pre-birthday gift giving (my birthday isn't until November but she knows I just cannot wait) and some earned rest as I was on the last leg of the dreaded sickness bug. A parcel popped through the door from New Look including big gold earrings and a holographic clutch as a present from LFW which I was not expecting but thrilled by. All weekend I spent cuddled up with the girls and boyfriend until Sunday night rolled around where I stayed up all night to watch the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad live, The Emmy's live and then the Dexter finale. I have a few choice words to say about the Dexter finale but I'll hold off and may write an entire post on it (with a spoiler alert) in the future.

So I'm back to work - back to early morning starts, cleaning little faces free of Poptarts in the morning and getting on the bus and I'm really loving having this kind of structure. I'm not so worried about my rent now considering it'll be paid up by the end of next month and everything's happening so quickly and well that I'm just loving how things have worked out. I've been wearing a gorgeous ombre wig that you'll see soon in an outfit post and chunky knits, I found the perfect black jeans and I've been cuddling pugs in jumpers and bow ties - you can't get better really, right?

  3. I'm glad you're back in the blogging world, sometimes it's necessary to take a break. You seem to settle into routines a lot easier than I do, but I'm glad you're enjoying the structure.

  4. Glad you're feeling better and also that you're back to posting! It's odd how we rely so much on our little routines sometimes. Looks like a wonderful few days as well, so cosy! xx
