Opacity; It's all about the tights

This wishlist from New Look is tugging at my heart strings. If you know me you know I am a huge fan of opaque tights, even in the summer so when the opportunity to dig out heavier fabrics to pair with those tights comes along I start getting a little excited. I've put together two outfits centered around the opaque tights with a nice little selection of shoes to take me from day to evening.

So the first outfit is something I've been eyeing up for a little while now, ever since I saw Michaela in her ASOS kimono and then while I was browsing the beautiful wedge shoes I spotted these bright wedges and what came up next to it? Of course it was a kimono that went beautifully. I paired it with a simple black peplum but I feel it could work with so much and be carried through to next summer rather nicely.

The second outfit is something I've been picking up bits of for a while now - I have the skirt both in velvet and faux leather and the wine red jumper but what I don't have is a faux leather jacket. All the ones I find are far too boxy or hit me at my waist and I can't be doing with either so while I do tend to stay away from waterfall jackets, this one caught my attention. I love the contrasting sleeves and feel it would be perfect with this look, a bowler hat and a big snuggly snood for work. I love the fact that the metal plate heeled boots would add a casual feel to the outfit but it could easily be dressed up in the evening with a big statement necklace and wedges.

Where will you be shopping this Autumn? I have so much in my basket from New Look that I can't justify right now but soon my bank balance will take a hit, I'm sure.
