Today I wanted to show you some of the things I'm loving right now. With it being almost my favourite month, almost a season of spectacular change and with my new found positive attitude I've been loving normal every day things a lot more than usual but why fight it when we can celebrate it, eh?

Jumpers are a love whenever it's cold enough to get away with them. From chunky knit to waffle knit, embellished, deeper colours or pastels - jumpers are just a staple to wear with jeans, leggings or skirts (and usually pyjama bottoms too). I've picked up a few gorgeous ones over the past few months that I intend to wear whenever I get the chance with thin waist belts, opaque tights and chunky jewellery and when it gets really cold I have a snuggly one for bed. Jumper crazy!

I have a little bit of a love/hate relationship with socks. I hate the way they make my feet feel too warm and restricted but I still can't resist, especially the soft slippy cosy socks that lure me in at the tills in Primark. However lately I've been into wearing them around the house and under boots and my feet just feel so snug. They're also beneficial when you have feet coated in moisturiser because even though your feet aren't out all the time they still feel terrible from being barefoot constantly for months.

For the last few weeks I've really been loving hot coffee in favour of a quick can of the ridiculously bad for me energy drinks or a frappe with espresso. I've invested in some syrups to make better coffee at home, have whipped out my cafetiere and have really enjoyed just sitting cross legged reading blogs and sipping a hot coffee in the afternoons when I'm taking a break from the day. I'm excited about pumpkin spice lattes being back in Starbucks and vanilla chai lattes with my best friend on the weekends. Maybe I'll post some super simple coffee flavour concoctions this Autumn as I start to experiment more and more. Expect whipped cream.

Finally this is something I've never stopped loving but recently found myself appreciating a little more - the good old cwtch. Now for those of you who aren't Welsh it's basically the Welsh word for hugging or cuddling but it just sounds so much better to say than the others. Being up for work at 6am is never fun but when my alarm sets itself off on it's first round attempts to wake me up I roll over and cwtch up to boyfriend. In the cold weather I'll appreciate this even more since he's so hairy he's basically a human radiator but right now I just feel safe like I'm in a cocoon and I definitely don't want to swing my legs over the edge of the bed and prepare for the day.

What have you found a new appreciation for?

  1. I couldn't agree more about all of these things! Autumn is my favourite time of year (did someone say birthday?!) and I have an unhealthy amount of jumpers! I think I'm going to be using 'cwtching' from now on too :) xx

  2. I am a HUGE jumper fiend, I'm so excited to start wearing them again. And my mum is an amazing knitter, so she's made me a few really cozy ones recently. It's great! xx

  4. Is there anything better than a big snuggly cardigan over pajamas, big fluffy socks and a hot coffee? Basically your entire post sums up my perfect Sunday morning!
    Plus the cwtch too!
