Instead of showing you yet more Instagram photos of my rather boring week (other than a road trip to West Wales and pug training) I thought I'd show you what I've been pinning. I go through phases of neglecting Pinterest and then becoming completely immersed on a pinning rampage. I'm alarmed at how some people only have say 30 pins per board and I just want to scream "YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO DISCOVER". Being a complete Tumblr nerd a lot of the funny things have been taken from there and have already been reblogged but I just can't resist. I've been having strong feelings about deleting everything and starting fresh, all organised on categorised boards which are a little more streamlined than 'Perfect Home'. Alas, I can't bring myself to part with the things I have pinned. They're MINE, damnit.
❥ Let's start with this no bake Nutella cheesecake, shall we? While I haven't made this yet I am going to next week and oh God, it looks gorgeous. Maybe one for Becky from Milkbubbletea to try? She consistently makes rather complex looking recipes look simple and oh so tasty.
❥ I've been obsessed with brightly coloured doors lately and while it isn't to be for my front door as my landlord has installed PVC doors and windows throughout pretty much everywhere that I can't touch without a huge expense, that pretty much comes into play when my back door is solid wood painted white. I'm thinking a hot pink or turquoise door (the side facing the garden) would really jazz up the outdoor space and is something I can easily paint over if I ever want a change.
❥ Kim Kardashian - love her or hate her, her make up looks for big events is always spectacular. I'm learning to contour properly for the first time thanks to the girls at Pixie Woo and Tanya Burr so I hope to look as lovely and polished as Kim soon (ha!).
❥ My garden is a constant source of disappointment. It could be so lovely but a lot of it's charm is overshadowed by the fully concrete floor. While I'm thankful for it in many ways with children and dogs I am also desperate for colour so I intend to plant lovely blooms in pots and hanging baskets that will hopefully cheer it up out there with pots high enough that the dogs don't find them fun new toys.
❥ These Mulberry flats are adorable and such a 'me' take on a classic brogue. I only wish they came in a size 9 with a £30 price tag!
❥ Now, this is a jump. Currently my ginger hair has faded to an unintentional ombre - light orange at the roots and a medium blonde at the lengths and ends. I don't like it that much and I'm considering taking the leap back into unusual coloured hair with my first stop being either lilac or turquoise. I've had both colours before by La Riche Directions and loved them but it's been a little while. I am twenty five in a few months time and I feel like if not now - when? When I'm in my thirties I want to be secure (whether that's secure enough to dye my hair bright pink, who knows?) but now is the time for experimentation. I might be popping out to buy a few tubs next week so watch this space!
❥And finally, these adorable nail transfers. Who doesn't love giraffes? I had this conversation with boyfriend when I realised that I have never heard a giraffe make a noise. Cows go moo, lions go raaaawrgh and giraffes go....? ANYONE? A quick Google search told me the answer but still, we came to the conclusion that giraffes are entirely underrated.
I am definitely going to try those Nutella cheesecakes and the giraffe prints are so cute. Great finds! :)
