17 Wild Metallics Eyes in Wild Bronze - £3.99

For those looking for an alternative to the Maybelline Colour Tattoos on a budget, I may have found an alternative. While they don't come in the exact same colours, the 17 Wild Metallics range is pretty lovely anyway. Just like with the Colour Tattoos I like to use these as a base and find this shade works so well as a base for a neutral smokey eye but I've also been wearing it as a wash of colour on it's own on lazy days with just a flick of black liquid liner.

Essentially these little pots are metallic cream eyeshadows but they're a little cheaper than the Colour Tattoo range coming in at £3.99 per pot which is really not bad. I do find that this doesn't do well in the heat as the others in my collection do and they melt a little so if it's gone a little bit soft use a very light hand as a little goes a long way. I dipped my brush in to this before taking the photo not realising it had gone a little soft and ended up with enough for three full applications. I've popped mine in the fridge and it's hardened up pretty well while still being very pigmented with a slight swipe.

This lasts all day, even with the heat and humidity and yesterday lasted 16 hours which I find is quite a lot for a cream eyeshadow without creasing. If you have oily lids I think you'd be fine without a primer for a good few hours. It's such a gorgeous shade too that works well with golds and browns and is flattering on me both with a (fake) tan and my natural rather pasty complexion. I do find I need to use a little bronzer while wearing this to put some colour in the rest of my face but that's something I do naturally regardless otherwise I am a potato.

So all in all, this is a little gem and I'm quite surprised as I don't rate anything from 17 - until now, that is! Pop along to Boots and treat yourself and if you get some of the other shades, let me know as I'm dying to head back and pick up another one or two.
