Friday Favourites

- Lily Allen - Hard Out There, The 1975 - Chocolate and their Live Lounge cover of What Makes You Beautiful have all been on repeat this week.

- Feeling a creative jolt back in my personal space has been wonderful. I feel like so much of my creativity has been spent on other peoples projects that I've had no time for my own.

- Vanilla greek style yogurt with muesli and goji berries for breakfast with a black Starbucks Christmas blend coffee and an ice cold glass of orange juice. The perfect way to kick off cold mornings on top of a breakfast tray.

- MAC Studio Fix fluid foundation in NW13. The only foundation I have ever found that matches my skin tone perfectly.

- The new shower head. 2013 was the year that everything I owned broke and since replacing it my showers feel like they've never felt better in my life.

- Turning the central heating off and doubling up socks, filling up hot water bottles and dragging the duvet down to the sofa. It really feels like winter.

- Putting the Christmas decorations up early. It's amazing how something small and festive can lighten and brighten a mood in the morning.

- Walks with the dogs where I can see my breath. Perfect for power walking with a very excited labrador.

- Friends. I am ever, ever so grateful this week for the women I hoped I would find when I was fifteen and have now.

- I am in two minds about my birthday next week but on the same day it's Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary episode which is very exciting to me!

Reads for the weekend: Laura of Made Peachy made these perfect sounding maple syrup and bacon cupcakes here, Sunae from Little Foal made her debut favourites video which is amazing with her gorgeous Australian accent here, Carrie from Wish Wish Wish hung out with Orla Kiely (!!!) here and Katie from Skunkboy posted about making her (adorable) family photos a priority here which is something I aim to do and never end up with!

What are your favourites this week?

  1. You are the sweetest ever! Thanks for linking my video! I am so self conscious about my accent. All UK accents sound adorable, and here are us Aussies just sounding rough haha.
I so wish we had cold christmases here, just so I could wear an ugly christmas sweater and all the christmas songs, stories and decorations would actually have meaning. This is such a gorgeous, positive, inspirational post. I am loving it xx
